At Taproot Connection, therapy is guided by nature, science, and human connection.
Our approach is rooted in evidence-based therapy, nature-informed wisdom, and the science of human connection, with a focus on helping clients reconnect beyond the noise of a technology-driven world.
Mindfulness in nature doesn't just calm the mind, it opens the heart. Research shows it builds self-compassion, kindness toward others, and a greater sense of connection in our relationships.
We believe healing happens through relationship, and that nature can help us remember what our screens often obscure: that we are wired for connection, belonging, and growth.
We can reshape how the root systems grow together by rewiring our inner patterns, so instead of reacting to what’s on the surface, we respond from the deeper connection of our taproot.
We use the natural world, movement, and sensory grounding to help you return to your body and calm your nervous system. Practices like Qi Gong and simple awareness exercises can reduce stress and bring you back into the present moment. This approach supports both regulation and deeper meaning, helping you move through life more intentionally.
We use research-informed techniques that support nervous system regulation, increase self-awareness, and help you step back from thoughts or patterns that feel overwhelming or unhelpful. Rooted in polyvagal-informed care, our approach is designed to create more clarity and resilience.
Healing happens in moments of human connection, in person (important!), and also online. I work with individuals and families to bring more clarity, calm, and connection to what can feel overwhelming—especially for children and young adults navigating anxiety, disconnection, digital overload, and major life transitions. Together, we make room for greater confidence, connection, and purpose
As a parent, it can be painful to watch your child or young adult feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in a world that rarely slows down. Many are navigating constant digital stimulation, high anxiety, low motivation, loneliness and social isolation, and major life transitions at the same time, and it can be hard to know how to help. I work with individuals and families to create more clarity, calm, and connection so you and your child can move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
My work is grounded in helping clients develop psychological flexibility—the ability to notice difficult internal experiences without being overwhelmed by them, and to respond in ways that are more aligned with their values and long-term well-being.
For the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, young adults, and their families in a variety of settings, including a therapeutic boarding school, wilderness therapy, adventure therapy, public school, inpatient and treatment centers, and outpatient clinical counseling.
I bring 15 years of experience supporting children and young adults across residential, inpatient, outpatient, and wilderness settings. I specialize in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and co‑occurring substance use, using evidence‑based approaches like Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Attachment‑informed care to help clients build resilience and navigate the transition to independent adulthood.
